In Robert Frosts a lot of condole with is felt for the oldage and the poet seems to be very concerned about t he quality of lifebeing lived by the old man, he sympathises with the aloneness andfeels sorry for the old man.Heaney seems to have a quite a different view on old age and we almostfeel as if he is annoyed at his father for not being able to care forhimself now, he is frustrated that the man whom he always looked up tohas now become frail and now follows him around opposed to when he wasa child.Out of the 2 poems I prefer Robert Frosts An Old Mans Winter Nightas I believe that it has much more centre to it and it really getsinto the life of the old man and gets sympathy from the reader andgets them involved.
